Senior Scholarship Program

Shaler Area Inline Hockey Association is committed to helping players achieve their maximum potential and to that end, the Association created a post-secondary scholarship to be awarded to a Senior player who meets the basic requirements.

 

The scholarship winner will submit a paid tuition or textbook store invoice to Shaler Area Inline Hockey Association for reimbursement by the Association. Specific instructions for reimbursement will be given to the scholarship winner at the banquet presentation.

Requirements

1. Must be a Shaler Area High School Senior

2. Must be a member of the Shaler Area Inline Hockey Association for at least 2 years and currently on a team roster

3. Required to have at least a 2.0 overall GPA at the conclusion of the 1st semester of his/her senior year on or about January 31.

   • Must attach HS transcript for GPA verification following 1st semester of the senior year​ as part of the online application

4. Must complete the online application and all required attachments by March 15th for eligibility

5. Must include a short biographical sketch which should be a well-written paragraph approximately 100 words in length to include:

   • High school accomplishments

   • Post-secondary school attending

   • Intended course of study

Important Dates:

• The deadline for application submission is April 30th 

• The scholarship winner will be announced by May 15th
